Civic issues Brindavan Layout, Vignan Nagar, Bangalore - 37

It's been a while since I wrote my last blog, though I am very much interested to pen my day to day activities in the form of blog but lack time and interest are the main reasons. I stay in Vignan Nagar, a beautiful place in Bangalore east, near to Doddanakundi Lake. After coming back from US, I decided to settle here not because of its location but rather all natural ambiences and peaceful place with nice neighbors. I bought my house around 5yrs back and staying there since then. WIthin the span of time, there are lots of improvement has been happened, there is a park now, thanks to our exMLA, Nandiesh Reddy and now there is a renovation work going on in Dodannakundi lake. Now there is a shell petrol pump and HP petrol pump and also a good hospital, Medi help nearby. State of India, Canara Bank, Union Bank etc... are just close by.
However, most of the road are still mud road. The air pollution has been increased due to dust. There are number of water tanker services in this area. The sound pollution due to these water tankers is a cause of worry. Recently there is cauvery water supply and sewerage connection to all houses. This is really nice development. However all works has been done in hurry so most of time cauvery water gets mixed with sewerage line and the water we get is contaminated with sewerage. I now stopped using cauvery water and uses borewell water. The bore well water is extreme high in minerals and at least its safe to use with RO filter system. Due to heavy exploration of bore wells in these areas, the water level has gone down. Most people in these area depend upon water tanker service.
I stay in 6th Cross, Brindavan Layout, Vignan Nagar. Here is the image of my street in normal hours of the day. The road is mud road. There is no footpath for people to walk.

During rainy season. 6th Cross, brindavan layout, Vignan Nagar
During rainy season, this area turns into hell. There are no footpath to walk, due to mud its extremely difficult to walk. Many times, we complained to civic authorities, however no action has been taken till now. Bangalore is the IT hub of India and here you will get high speed internet connection, however major civic amenities are lacking in this area i.e. tar road, safe drinking water and proper sewerage system. Last sunday, a group of residents met local counselor and lets see if any improvement would happen in near future.
